Greetings!

As we leave the long election season behind, I am excited to embrace the Thanksgiving holiday. I am thankful for the growth and success of our business this year, and that blessing is founded on the homes staged and sold and our working relationship with you.

Thanksgiving Table I'd love to invite you over to celebrate, but my house is more like a warehouse with staging accessories and furniture pieces all over. So instead, let me share some holiday tips with you. To set your Thanksgiving table this year, you can try a technique I use when staging dining room tables. It's simple, yet elegant, with just a few items that are already in your house or pantry. And don't forget what you can find in your backyard. Brightly colored autumn leaves make a great dinner plate accent. Pinecones piled into a bowl create warmth and look inviting, too. Even better, these high impact-ideas are low-cost. Check out the article for tips and crafty ideas that will impress your loved ones and add elegance to your table. In this article you'll see centerpieces made with beans of various vibrant colors that are similar to those we use for our staged table settings.

It seems that quite a few sellers were on the sidelines until the election was over - we have had a flurry of calls to stage houses to sell since the Election Day. Please call now to have your house or listings staged for the "changing" season.

Remember, right pricing gets you in the game, and home staging gets you the offer!

Best regards,
Trish

Did you know that there's an undercover secret agent who provides honest and candid feedback on properties for sale? Well, neither did we, but there is such an agent in Potomac, MD.

We staged a 6,750-square-foot occupied home in Potomac, MD last month. This home had been remodeled with all the right additions and enhancements, but it lacked appropriate spatial planning and interior décor. Our ASP team of seven professional stagers transformed this home in one day, and the Staging result was spectacular. What we didn't know at the time is that we were being watched - the property showed up on this secret agent's website. We have a hunch that this agent came to the broker's open house and met our Director of Business Development, Cheryl Smith, who was assisting the listing agent/owner with the open house. His or her (we're not sure) blog says, "This is the first home in a very long time I will give a perfect score." As you can imagine, we were excited and so proud to have received such a glowing review as this home was made his or her "Potomac Secret Agent Home of the Month"! Thanks to the secret agent for acknowledging the importance of Staging by saying, "You cannot believe the difference this step can make."

Please click here to visit and read this secret agent's blog. Please call us now to have your house or listing staged to a "perfect 10" so that you don't get caught off-guard by an undercover agent.

This house was beautiful and filled with wonderful furniture and décor. Some of our most loyal and active Realtors, Jerry and Carol McEwen, asked us to come in and rearrange what was there and bring in the "wow" factor for which we are famous. First the owners painted some key spaces to our specifications, which really set the "Stage" and created a backdrop for our transforming work. It was a fun and exciting project, as we were privileged to have fine antiques and family heirlooms to use with our accessories. These things combined enabled us to create the vision of a lifestyle the buyers could not refuse. It's no exaggeration to say the buyers were impressed, and many offers resulted in an above-list-price contract in 5 days!

An Accredited Staging Professional™ (ASP) is a professional who has completed a proven training program that teaches the specific techniques and concepts of staging. ASPs educate sellers about how Staging works and provide the expertise to help get it done. There are two tracks to becoming an ASP Professional: an ASP Realtor® and an ASP Stager. The next class will be offered at Northern Virginia Association of Realtors in Alexandria from December 2-4. Click here for the upcoming class schedule and to register, or feel free to call Ann Marie Hidalgo at 1-800-392-7161 ext. 7724 with your questions.

ASP Realtor®
This 2-day training is specifically designed to train real estate professionals how to list and sell more homes by using Staging as a marketing tool. You will learn what Staging is, how to educate your sellers to do it, and specific techniques on how to help your clients Stage. This is for real estate agents who want to use Staging as an additional service to set themselves apart and who don't want to charge for Staging services. The ASP course is approved for 8 Continuing Education hours in the State of Virginia. Click here for a 2-day course flyer.

3-Day Accredited Staging Professional Course
This program is designed to train people who want to start their own Staging business or are adding Staging as part of their services offered in their decorating or design business. To receive a $100 tuition credit courtesy of Trish Kim, please print this flyer and follow the instructions.

We believe that when more of our real estate partners, clients, or prospects understand the benefits of ASP Staging, and when the network of ASPs grows, the more beneficial it will be for everyone involved. Register now - the last several classes that were held in our area were completely sold out.
