Christmas is our favorite time of year for reflection and the birthing of innovative plans for the New Year.

As we look back on 2006, we are grateful about the new partnerships we've formed with many of you through home staging, as we've worked together for the successful sale of your homes or listings. We've had a great time doing many varied staging projects, and 2007 promises to be an even better year as we build on the track record we've established this year.

2006 was filled with excitement and a lot of hard work as Trish Kim with 18 years of experience as a gifted interior designer embarked on a new service with the home staging business. Staged Interior is now a permanent and vital part of her Pendleton & Young, Inc. design business.

As 2006 comes to a close, it is only fitting for us to review the performance of Staged Interior with measurable accomplishments showing how Trish's staging has contributed to the successful sales of staged properties.
 
Of the homes that had been staged and sold, 62% have been sold in less than 1 month "after" the house was staged, 15% less than 3 months, 15% less than 4 months, and 8% more than 5 months as shown in the pie chart below. By "sold" we mean when the house went "under ratified contract."

Of all sold homes, 77% had been staged before they went active in MRIS, and the other 23% had been on the market from 4 months to 8 months before they were staged and finally sold.

Of all homes staged before they went active in MRIS, 50% was sold in less than 1 month, 20% sold in less than 3 months, 20% less than 4 months and the rest 10% more than 5 months.

Of all homes that had been on the market for 4 to 8 months before they were staged, 100% of them were sold in less than a month after staging and 33% of those, in less than 1 week.

We are truly excited about sharing our accomplishment with measurable results showing the tremendous success of our endeavor in working with you to have your houses sold even in these challenging market conditions.

An Accredited Staging Professional™ (ASP) is a professional who has completed a proven training program that teaches the specific techniques and concepts of staging. They have the courage to tell sellers about Staging and the knowledge to help them do it.

There are two tracks to become an ASP Professional, an ASP Realtor® and an ASP Stager. StagedHomes's ASP course is approved for 8 Continuing Education hours in the State of Virginia. This 2 Day training is specifically designed to train real estate professionals how to list and sell more homes by using Staging as a marketing tool. You will learn what Staging is, how to convince your sellers to do it, and specific techniques on how to help your clients Stage. This is for Real Estate Agents that want to use Staging as an additional service to set themselves apart and who do not want to charge for Staging services.
